Il progetto IPNOA premiato al Convegno annuale della Società Italiana di Agronomia

14 - 16 Settembre 2015, Bologna

Un gruppo di ricercatori dell’Istituto di Scienze della Vita della Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna di Pisa guidati da Enrico Bonari, ha partecipato con successo al XLIV Convegno Nazionale SIA "L’agronomia per la gestione dei sistemi produttivi agrari", tenutosi recentemente a Bologna. Al termine del convegno sono stati consegnati alcuni riconoscimenti: un premio di formazione per giovane ricercatore a Volpi, per il miglior poster della sessione VI del convegno dedicata a "Biodiversità, sostenibilità e impatto ambientale dei sistemi colturali", dal titolo "N2O emissions from clover in the Mediterranean environment", frutto delle attività svolte all’interno del progetto IPNOA. Gli altri co-autori del poster sono stati: Simona Bosco, Nicoletta Nassi o Di Nasso, Federico Triana, Neri Roncucci e Enrico Bonari dell’ ISV della Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna; Patricia Laville dell’INRA Agro Paris Tech; Simone Neri e Giorgio Virgili di West Systems. L’interesse verso il tema del progetto è stato così elevato che il poster è stato selezionato anche come Short Comunication da pubblicare sull’ Italian Journal of Agronomy la rivista ufficiale della Società Italiana di Agronomia.

IPNOA Project won an award at the Annual Conference of the Italian Society of Agronomy

14-16 September 2015, Bologna

A group of researchers of the Institute of Life Sciences of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna of Pisa led by Enrico Bonari, has successfully participated in the XLIV National Congress SIA "Agronomy for the management of agricultural systems", recently held in Bologna . At the end of the conference several awards weredelivered. In particular, the youngresearcher Iride Volpi wasawaredfor the best poster of the 6th session of the conference dedicated to "Biodiversity, sustainability and environmental impact of farmingsystems" The poster,entitled "N2O emissions from clover in the Mediterraneanenvironment ", presented part of the result of the activitiesperformedwithin the IPNOA project. Other co-authors of the poster were: Simona Bosco, Nicoletta Nassi o Di Nasso, Federico Triana, Neri Roncucci and Enrico Bonari(Institute of Life Sciences of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna); Patricia Laville(INRA Agro Paris Tech); Simone Neri and Giorgio Virgili (West Systems). The interest in the theme of the projectwasso high that the poster wasselectedas Short Comunication be published on the Italian Journal of Agronomy, the official journal of the Italian Society of Agronomy.

Il secondo anno di attività della Stazione di Monitoraggio Continuo è iniziato il maggio 2015, dopo la semina del mais. Dopo aver monitorato le emissioni dal terreno durante il periodo incolto che ha seguito la coltivazione del mais, le camere di accumulo della stazione di monitoraggio continuo erano state rimosse per la manutenzione ordinaria e per consentire le operazioni di aratura per semina del mais.

Beginning of 2nd Year Activity with the Continuous Monitoring Station

IPNOA chambers of the continuous monitoring station at CIRAA have been monitoring for the fallow period after maize since March 2015 when were removed for the ordinary maintenance and to allow tillage operations for maize sowing. The second year of monitoring started on May 2015 after maize sowing.

Incontro formativo per studenti a Cesa

27/5/2015, Cesa - Arezzo

L'Ente Terre Regionali Toscane ha organizzato per il secondo anno successivo una visita guidata presso la Tenuta di Cesa, sede dell'omonimo Centro per il collaudo ed il trasferimento dell’innovazione presso il quale si svolgono le attività di monitoraggio del progetto IPNOA. Iride Volpi (SSSUP) e Luigi Fabbrini (RT)hanno preso parte all'incontro formativo rivolto agli studenti di Istituti Tecnici Agrari locali, tenutosi il giorno 27/5/2015. Le attività formative infatti fanno parte delle attività di disseminazione previste dal progetto. Purtroppo quest'anno a causa delle condizioni meteo non è stato possibile fare la parte dimostrativa sul funzionamento dello strumento portatile.

Traing course for High School students at Cesa

The Regional Authority Terre Regionali Toscane organized for the second year a guided tour at the Estate of Cesa, site of the homonymous Cesa Research Centre for Agricultural Technologies and Extension Services in the Province of Arezzo where take place IPNOA Project monitoring activities. Iride Volpi (SSSUP) and Luigi Fabbrini (Tuscany Region) participated to the meeting with the high school students that was held on May 27 2015, as part of the dissemination activities in the LIFE+IPNOA project. The aim of project IPNOA and first results on durum wheat were presented to the students and brochure of the project were distributed to the participants. This year a demonstration activity of the mobile instrument was not possible due to weather conditions.

Continua la cross validation con il contributo dei partner francesi

21-25 Settembre 2015, Pisa

Patricia Laville dall’INRA di Grignon (Francia), in quanto responsabile per la validazione dei prototipi IPNOA (azione B3 ) ha visitato il sito sperimentale di Pisa (Centro di Ricerche Agro- Ambientali Enrico Avanzi, CIRAA) dal 21 al 25 settembre 2015. Durante la sua permanenza è stata effettuata una cross validazione tra la stazione fissa con camere automatiche e il prototipo mobile. Le misure dei flussi di gas serra dal suolo sono state effettuate con entrambi i prototipi in ogni collare. I dati raccolti verranno utilizzati per confrontare le prestazioni dei due strumenti. Azoto e acqua in una quantità prestabilita sono stati applicati a tre collari per testare la risposta del protossido di azoto a tale applicazione. Durante la settimana è stato anche organizzato un incontro con West Systems per condividere e commentare i dati raccolti in due anni di monitoraggio con la stazione fissa.

Cross validation activities still on going with the contribution of French partner

21-25 September 2015, Pisa

IPNOA Patricia Laville from INRA of Grignon (France) as responsible person for the validation of the IPNOA prototypes (action B3) she came to the experimental site in Pisa (Centro di Ricerche Agro-Ambientali Enrico Avanzi, CIRAA) from 21 to 25 September 2015. During her stay was carried out a cross validation between the IPNOA fixed station with automated chambers and the mobile prototype. Measures of greenhouse gases from soils were taken with both the prototypes from each collar. Values will be used to compare the performances of the two instruments. Nitrogen and water in a fixed amount were applied to three collars to test the response of the nitrous oxide to that application.During the week it was also organized a meeting with West Systems to share and comments the data collected from the two years of monitoring with the fixed station.

Terza visita di Monitoraggio del Progetto

Oggi si è tenuta la terza visita di monitoraggio da parte del Dott. Simone Pagni, che fa parte del team di monitoraggio esterno della Commissione Europea. L'incontro si è svolto presso l'azienda agricola TERRE REGIONALI TOSCANE (Ex. Alberese) a Cesa, che rappresenta uno dei siti sperimentali su cui sono state svolte le attività di monitoraggio delle emissioni per mezzo della strumentazione realizzata con il progetto IPNOA.

On July 7th was held the third meeting with the EC External Monitoring Group. The meeting was held in Cesa (Arezzo) at TERRE REGIONALI TOSCANE farm, which represents one of the experimental sites on which the monitoring activities are carried out.

The first results of the IPNOA project were published in the Italian Journal of Agronomy (Open access Journal), the official Journal of the Italian Society of Agronomy. LEnrico Bonari, Simona Bosco, Nicoletta Nassi o Di Nasso e Iride Volpi (SSSUP) e Luigi Fabbrini (RT) hanno partecipato ad un incontro con un gruppo di studenti, dal titolo . The title of the seminar was “La riduzione dell’impatto ambientale nei sistemi agricoli in Toscana: presupposti normativi e strumenti tecnici innovativi per contenere l’emissione dei gas serra, la lisciviazione dei nitrati e l’impiego di fitofarmaci in agricoltura”. Il seminario si è tenuto presso l' Istituto Tecnico Agrario A. Vegni – Capezzine – Cortona Arezzo. Si sono registrati circa 80 partecipanti fra cui studenti e insegnanti dell' Istituto agrario A, Vegni e dell' Istituto Agrario “ Ricasoli” di Siena. Lo scopo del progetto IPNOA e primi risultati sul grano duro sono stati presentati agli studenti e la brochure del progetto sono stati distribuiti ai partecipanti.

Enrico Bonari, Simona Bosco, Nicoletta Nassi o Di Nasso and Iride Volpi (SSSUP) and Luigi Fabbrini (Tuscany Region) participated in the meeting with the high school students. The title of the seminar was “Reducing the environmental impact in agricultural systems in Tuscany: innovative regulatory and technical tools assumptions to contain the emission of greenhouse gases, nitrate leaching and the use of pesticides in agriculture”. The seminar was held at the Istituto Tecnico Agrario A. Vegni – Capezzine – Cortona Arezzo. There were about 80 participants among students and teachers of the Istituto agrario A, Vegni and of the Istituto Agrario “ Ricasoli” of Siena. The aim of project IPNOA and first results on durum wheat were presented to the students and brochure of the project were distributed to the participants.
