I primi risultati delle attività di Cross Validazione dello strumento trasportabile del progetto IPNOA sono stati pubblicati sulla Rivista Journal of Energy and Power Engineering con un articolo dal titolo: “Cross-Validation of a Mobile N2O Flux Prototype (IPNOA) Using Micrometeorological and Chamber Methods". Publicated the results of the IPNOA project cross validation activities

April 2015

The activities related to the cross validation of the transportable prototype was presented during the Seventh International Symposium on Non-CO2 Greenhouse Gases (NCGG7) November 2014. After this conference Patricia Laville (INRA) was contacted by the editor of the Journal of Energy and Power Engineering (ISSN1934-8975) to submit a paper to the Journal. The writing was produced from December to February and the paper was published in April 2015. The title of the manuscript is: “Cross-Validation of a Mobile N2O Flux Prototype (IPNOA) Using Micrometeorological and Chamber Methods” - Journal of Energy and Power Engineering 9 (2015) 375-385 doi: 10.17265/1934-8975/2015.04.007. The authors of the article are: Patricia Laville (INRA), Giorgio Virgili, Simone Neri, Davide Continanza, Luca Fabiano Ferrante Vero (WS) and Simona Bosco (SSSUP). This publication was being a good way to make known the work done during the IPNOA project.

 Chamber Calibration Meeting

9- 13 Marzo 2015, Helsinky, Finlandia

Simona Bosco e Iride Volpi (SSSUP) hanno partecipato al "Chamber Calibration Meeting" dal 9 al 13 marzo 2015 presso il Dipartimento di Fisica, Divisione di Scienze dell'Atmosfera, Università di Helsinki, in Finlandia, all'interno delle attività Networking fra il progetto IPNOA e il progetto FP7 INGOS. L'incontro è durato 3 giorni con l'obiettivo di discutere i dati della "N2O chamber intercomparison campaign", tenutosi a Hyttiala, in Finlandia, nel mese di luglio 2014 per confrontare le diverse tipologie di camere di accumulo per la misurazione dei flussi di N2O, tra cui la camera di IPNOA.

Simona Bosco and Iride Volpi (SSSUP) participated to the "chamber calibration meeting", from 9 to 13 March 2015 at the Department of Physics, Division of Atmospheric Sciences, University of Helsinki, Finland, as part of the networking activities in the LIFE+IPNOA project. The meeting lasted for 3 days with the aim to discuss the data of the "N2O chamber intercomparison campaign", held in Hyttiala, Finland, in July 2014 to compare different chamber typologies for N2O flux measurements, among which the IPNOA chamber.

Inizio delle attività di monitoraggio per il secondo anno

Novembre 2014

Le attività di monitoraggio per il secondo anno presso il CIRAA e Cates sono iniziate a novembre 2014 sul grano duro e la fava. Le prove sul campo sono state svolte tempestivamente e il monitoraggio è iniziato alla semina per entrambe queste colture. Il monitoraggio delle colture estive per il periodo a maggese è proseguito in entrambi i siti.

November 2014

The second year of monitoring at CIRAA and CATES started on November 2014 on durum wheat and on faba bean. The field trials were set up timely and the monitoring activities started at sowing of this two crops. The monitoring for the fallow period of summer crops has continued in both sites.

 Giornata di Studio Agricoltura e Cambiamenti Globali

Simona Bosco, Nicoletta Nassi o Di Nasso (SSSUP), Giorgio Virgili (West Systems) e Stefania Nuvoli (Regione Toscana) hanno partecipato al convegno "Giornata di Studio Agricoltura e Cambiamenti Globali", il 27 Aprile 2015 presso l'Accademia dei Georgofili, Logge Uffizi Corti, Firenze, Italia, nell'ambito delle attività di divulgazione del progetto LIFE + IPNOA. La conferenza è stata organizzata al fine di costituire una linea guida per la ricerca sul tema di mitigazione e adattamento dell'agricoltura ai cambiamenti climatici. Gli obiettivi del progetto IPNOA sono stati presentati al pubblico nella sezione di discussione e la brochure del progetto è stata distribuita ai partecipanti.

Simona Bosco and Nicoletta Nassi o Di Nasso (SSSUP), Giorgio Virgili (West Systems) and Stefania Nuvoli (Tuscany Region) participated to the conference "Giornata di Studio Agricoltura e Cambiamenti Globali", on April 27 2015 at  Accademia dei Georgofili, Logge Uffizi Corti, Florence, Italy, as part of the dissemination activities in the LIFE+IPNOA project. The conference was organize in order to set up a guideline for the research on the topic of mitigation and adaptation of agriculture to climatic changes. The aims of project IPNOA were presented to the public in the discussion section and the IPNOA brochure was distributed to the participants.

7° INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON NON-CO2 GREENHOUSE GASES (NCGG7)

5-7/11/2014, Amsterdam, Netherlands

Una delegazione del team del progetto IPNOA ha partecipato 7° Simposio Internazionale sui gas serra non-CO2 (NCGG7), che si è tenuto dal 5 al 7 novembre 2014 ad Amsterdami. Due abstracts scientifici sono stati inviati. I titoli degli abstract sono: " Effects of agronomic practices for nitrous oxide emissions reduction in Mediterranean: the LIFE+IPNOA project"; "Cross-Validation of a mobile N2O flux prototype (IPNOA) using Micrometeorological and Chamber methods".

The IPNOA project team participated to the conference Seventh International Symposium on Non-CO2 Greenhouse Gases (NCGG7) that was held on November 5-7, 2014 Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Two scientific abstracts have been sent. The titles of the abstracts are: " Effects of agronomic practices for nitrous oxide emissions reduction in Mediterranean: the LIFE+IPNOA project"; "Cross-Validation of a mobile N2O flux prototype (IPNOA) using Micrometeorological and Chamber methods".

Incontro di Coordinamento

Il 24 Settembre si è tenuto un incontro do coordinamento di progetto al quale hanno preso parte rappresentanti di ciascun Beneficiario. L'incontro è servito per rivedere insieme il lavoro svolto fino ad oggi, a due anni dall'inizio del progetto, a valutare insieme le criticità riscontrate e a programmare le attività future.

On September 24th, was held  a project coordination meeting which was attended by representatives of each Beneficiary. During the meeting was reviewed the work done up to now, at two years from the beginning of the project. Furthermore the critical issues were identified and were planned the future activities.
